Comsquared Systems Announces the Release of UNISearch® 8.0

Atlanta, Georgia - March 16, 2004 - Comsquared Systems, Inc. a leading imaging and workflow software provider, announced the availability of UNISearch® version 8.0. The newest version of the UNISearch product line delivers over 20 product enhancements, including additional web services, improved document search capabilities and several web client enhancements.

UNISearch provides workers with a single point of access to business content within the enterprise, regardless of its location or format. Store any form of report, image or document using UNISearch intelligent indexing engines to directly access pages from a web client.

UNISearch/XL is a thin-client application downloading pages based on client requests; it uses XML and XSLT technology to deliver content to enable seamless integration into any ASP or Java web platform. Transforms allow common document types to be stored in their native compact formats, yet deliver content to users as Adobe PDF documents. All processing is done centrally on the web server, which is designed as a scaleable web service with load balancing, reliability and redundancy features. No ActiveX components are downloaded to the browsers, so, virtually any browser on any platform can view reports. A request to the server to view a report results in a return of a single page to the web client, with optional features to download an entire report or selected page ranges for local manipulation.

With the enhanced web client delivered in the 8.0 version of UNISearch/XL, it not only adds functionality including new web administrative options and custom web tools, but customers can now perform more efficient searches, improving employee and process productivity, while at the same time meeting an application expansion that drives enhanced ROI.
