NEW UNISearch-UPN Remittance Processing System
Atlanta, GA – June 9, 2006, COMSQUARED SYSTEMS, INC., a leader in document workflow and imaging solutions, in partnership with SOUTHEASTERN DATA COOPERATIVE (SEDC) is pleased to announce the availability of a payment processing system (commonly called remittance processing) that will enhance the cooperative’s ability to process check payments quickly and easily. The system includes a dual pocket remittance scanner, easy to use software, and integration with UPN’s accounts receivable for payment posting. Tasks that normally take hours can be reduced to minutes due to the design of the system.
“Our goal is to have this system fully integrated into the UPN payment processing system” stated Ron Camp, CEO and President of Southeastern Data. This integration will include real time access to member account balances in UPN to allow for easy reconciliation of problem payments.
The system is designed to be fully integrated with the UPN cash register system, and allow for electronic clearing (ACH) of checks, if desired. Inexpensive check scanners placed at each teller window will allow for payment capture as payments are received.
“Until now, systems of this type have been very expensive, and without the UPN integration that is planned for the UNISearch-UPN Remittance Processing System” stated Ron De Rosa, Vice President of Sales for Comsquared. This new system initially will be priced according to the size of the cooperative, and sell for much less than the price of currently available systems.
Checks and stubs will be archived for easy reference should payment questions arise. Cooperatives that already own the UNISearch Document Management System will be provided with the capability to store checks on their UNISearch System at no additional charge. The UNISearch-UPN Remittance Processing System, coupled with the UNISearch-UPN DocLink SmartLink, and the UNISearch-Arista Bill SmartLink will provide a complete record of documents relating to every bill generated, allowing customer service view the documents and answer all billing related questions with just a click of the mouse!
The UNISearch-UPN Remittance Processing System will be available for immediate delivery in July, 2006.
