Leading Document Management Provider Continues their Success of Implementing Electronic Case File Solutions for Community Based Care Lead Agencies
Comsquared Systems converts over 1.2 million pages of active case files for image integration into a web-based case management system for United for Families.
Atlanta, GA – January 9, 2012, Port St. Lucie based United for Families joins Our Kids of Miami Dade/Monroe, Inc, Hillsborough Kids, Inc, Heartland for Children, and Sarasota YMCA in implementing Comsquared’s market leading Electronic Case file solution. United For Families has completed the conversion and migration of over 1.2 million pages of active case file documents to digital images and is now able to access case documentation instantly and securely from any web enabled PC, laptop, or mobile device.
At project start, United for Families had approximately 1.2 million pages of active case documentation. The project initiative was designed to move toward a paperless operation by converting all existing and new case paper documents to electronic format. The project completed in sixty (60) days was managed at a centralized scanning location in Port St. Lucie, FL where files from four (4) different Service Centers, (St. Lucie, Martin, Indian River, and Okeechobee), were scanned using a premier high speed, image capture scanner.
Active case files were categorized exactly as they were in the physical paper form, making it an easy transition for Case Workers to access their electronic case files. Web-based access is achieved through the market leading interface; ASK (Agency Secure Knowledge). Case workers are able to search for, and retrieve desired document images by Case Name, Case Number, Child Name, or by utilizing full-text search capabilities.
Following the completion of all cases at the individual file rooms, Lead Agency personnel were trained to perform and manage the day forward receipt of documents. Scanning of newly received documents is preformed at the service centers, allowing for easy and quick access to new information in a timely manner.
